Admin moderation process

Internal checklist for reviewing community submissions before publication.

1) Daily triage workflow

  1. Open incoming submission emails and group by section (Learning, Voices, Social).
  2. Mark obvious spam and archive immediately.
  3. Review remaining items using the checklist below.
  4. Decide: Approve / Request clarification / Reject.
  5. Log the decision in your tracking sheet with date and rationale.
  6. Publish approved items in the correct page section with a short editor note.

2) Review checklist

  • Confirm the link opens and matches the submitted title/description.
  • Check source credibility (official agency, known nonprofit, established publication).
  • Flag overly promotional, misleading, or unsafe content.
  • Remove child-identifying details or private personal information.
  • Verify relevance to neurodivergent/autism support for families in your audience.
  • Add a short editor note before publishing (who it helps and why).

3) Decision criteria

Approve

Useful, accurate enough for community context, and aligned with site purpose.

Request clarification

Potentially useful but missing context, broken link, or unclear audience fit.

Reject

Unsafe, non-credible, spammy, discriminatory, privacy-invasive, or off-topic.

4) Message templates
